  • NEW EVERYTHING!

So a new school year has come, and Sonne is back in session. This year Sonne has been filled not only with new students we have recieved 3 new RA's and new dorm parents. The dorm parents, Rick and Sharron have become a quick hit at the dorm and the guys have been blessed to have them this year, with them they bring much experience as they have been dorm parents for 11 years throughout Asian boarding schools. Matt Kirkley has also been joined by some great RA's (CB, Tommy, and Andy who arrives tonight). One more thing that we have new this year is MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, we have been blessed with the presence of the former liel dorm students. They are a joy to have around as we constantly find them looking up in awe at guys like Johann who are almost 3 feet taller than them.

Pictures will be coming soon, and we are off to a new year.

  • An Alumnus Update

We don't have many of these, but they are pretty neat to hear about. If any alumni of Sonne have anything interesting going on in their lives that they want to share, hey, it can be posted here.

    Air Force Academy, Colorado

Jarrid Leute, Sonne '04, is a Westpoint cadet serving on a exchange program at the Air Force Academy. On 15 August, he, along with several other exchange cadets, took their USMA commitment oath, swearing to finish off their remaining two years at the United States Military Academy and then go on to serve a minimum of five years active duty. The oath was admistered by Lt. Gen. Webster, who also gave a speech on "Duty, Honor, Country," the Army motto. It was quite a good speech, and a great ceremony to see.

Yep. School begins soon. Sonne will once again be filled with the yells and joyous screams of new and returning guys. It's gonna be great.

  • The weather here at Sonne has been wonderful this summer.  There's been lots of sun, some rain, some heat, and long balmy days.  Of course, things just aren't the same when you guys aren't here!

The kids attending English camp have had a great time.  Everyone likes to come to Sonne for camp.  Soon, they will all be gone, and the dorm staff will be moving in and getting everything ready for your arrival.

Your new dorm Mom, Sharon, is here; you are going to love her.  She is friendly and energetic.  Be praying for her and her husband, Rick.  He is still back in the States with his ailing father, but will arrive before you get here.  Do all you can to help them and the new RA's.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
